JAPAN WITHOUT GENPATSU
(pinch me I am dreaming)
By March 11, 2012, if they do not restart any of the idled reactors, the only two reactors (Tomari Kariwa 6 and 3) are still in use!
For now, we’re at six reactors still in operation (those in blue on the map attached here above). Genkai one of 4 (in red) was put in maintenance shutdown on December 25).
This is the schedule for maintenance revision of the last 6 reactors:
(which will go under the “new” stress tests I suppose)
Ikata 2 (Shikoku Electric co) must stop before January 13
Kariwa 5 (Tokyo Electric Co) should stop by Jan. 25
Shimane 2 (Chugoku Electric Co) must stop before January 27
Takahama 3 (Kansai Electric co) should stop by Feb. 20
Kariwa 6 (Tokyo Electric Co) should stop before the end of March
Tomari 3 (Hokkaido Electric co) should stop before the end of April
And then SAYONARA GENPATSU ! Keep on fighting, there might be some light at the end of the tunnel ..
GOVT TO BUY ABANDONED LAND TO STORE RADIOACTIVE WASTE WITHIN THE 20KM ZONE
Here we go! This is the right thing to do! Buy the contaminated land from their owners (since they have lost everything for most), store radioactive soil there surrounded by big concrete walls … all within the 20km zone. I am the first one to criticize this government, but when things are done the right way or the most “logical” way, it must be praised as well! Good going, keep it up. Wait … did I say “good going” to Hosono ? Ouch … what is this world coming to !!!
HIGH SCHOOL IN MINAMI SOMA TO CLOSE
Some good news from Minamisoma. The only private high school within a former emergency evacuation preparation zone around the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant, Shoei High School stands in the Haramachi district of Minami-Soma. Its students were forced to evacuate, and the school has given up on seeking new enrollments for next fiscal year.
ANOTHER FARMER KILLS HIMSELF
A farmer in Fukushima killed himself on Christmas eve. He was scheduled to pay a big bill and was asking some help and compensations to TEPCO.” What he did not know is that he had more chance to win playing a lottery ticket than to ever get a yen from the criminals known as TEPCO. This is very sad and more efforts must be made by the government to care for the mental health of these abandoned citizens. We wish to convey our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
SAITAMA FORCES SCHOOL CHILDREN TO GARGLE WITH SAYAMA TEA
And on with the experiment.
Sayama City, known for its “Sayama-cha” brand green tea, has been suffering as high levels of radioactive cesium continue to be detected from its teas. As if to help the city and dispel “baseless rumors” that are scaring the consumers from buying Sayama tea, Saitama Prefecture has just started forcing school children to gargle with powdered Sayama tea as an effort to instill good behavior in preventing cold and flu.
Problem: radioactive cesium has been detected from green tea grown in Sayama, some exceeding the national provisional limit of 500 becquerels/kg by a wide margin. In fact, it is rare to find Sayama tea without any radioactive cesium.
The latest testing done by Saitama Prefecture shows continued detection of radioactive cesium from almost all teas grown in Sayama.
Hope these idiots would take a “criminal” break for the holiday season … but nothing seem to stop these murderers ! Not even Santa !
THE RUDEST COMMENT YET BY A CITY OFFICIAL “HIROFUMI IWAKURA”
Alleged word by the mayor of Tomakomai City in Hokkaido who is extremely eager to accept disaster debris from Miyagi and Iwate to burn in his city takes the cake for sheer rudeness and bad taste:
From someone who evacuated from Sendai, Miyagi to Tomakomai City:
Mayor of Tomakomai City is really ignorant and rude. When mothers who evacuated [from disaster-affected areas to Tomakomai] went to petition him not to burn the disaster debris for the sake of children’s health in the future, he had the gall to say “I’ve heard that the excrement from the irradiated evacuees like yourselves contaminates the environment more with radiation”. And he is the mayor.
Happy and Safe new year and a healthy radioactive-less 2012 to all of you.
